Nacho Mom's Ultimate Vegan Queso

Every now and then a product comes along that you don’t really know how you lived without…  A good example of this may be Gardein or cheap bulk bags of cashews. You choose.

On my recent trip to Austin (see 1 & 2) I had the chance to meet the creator of one of these new and amazing products. Yes, I got to meet the Nacho Mom.

First of all, she is adorable and actually not made of nachos.

Second, her product will blow your mind.

Imagine this, a jar of queso that is vegan, has no fat, and is only 160 calories for THE WHOLE JAR! Yep, you read that right.

Warm this queso up and pour it on anything, it is amazing! I can’t even describe to you how awesome it is. When I was in Texas, I brought some to a party and it was gobbled up in about 5 seconds flat.

So thanks to the Nacho Mom, I am giving away two jars of Nacho Mom’s Vegan Queso (original & fire roasted) to one of my loving Chubby Vegan readers.

I am so excited about this giveaway because I can’t buy vegan queso in Pittsburgh. Now that I have tried it, I need you to be able to try it too!

  2. Oh my goodness I would love to have some of this for nachos!! I ordered husband a jar of the original for his vegan Christmas stocking (full of vegan foodie goodies), but I barely got a taste (fair enough, it was a gift to him after all). The little taste I had was AMAZING!! <3

  9. I love a good plate of nachos, and so that would certainly be my first use of Nacho Mom's queso. The fire roasted sounds especially tasty! Only 160 calories for the whole jar? Are you encouraging me to eat this in one sitting? Thanks! :)

  10. That sounds so good!

I would make a layered dip with baked beans, guacamole, vegan sour cream, sweet chili heat Doritos and the warm nacho sauce drizzled on top! I'd of course have to take the opportunity to sneakily share this with some non-vegans, because I love seeing surprised faces after announcing that a dish is made with 0 animal products.

  11. Vegan nachos, of course. Oh and as a dip - for my fingers! Tee hee...thanks for the giveaway, I don't believe it's here in Chicago yet. (At least I haven't seen it.) I'm off to Twitter your phrase. *giggle*

  12. Two words: tofu scramble!! Throw in some green and red peppers, onions, zucchini...I think the real question is what doesn't taste better covered in cheese? Do you think it would be good over pasta? I am thinking of some variation of mac and cheese?

  13. I just Googled this product and put two in my cart at Amazon, then I decided to click on your link from the list of hits. A giveaway? Count me in! I'd pour this stuff all over some tater tots, tortilla chips, or maybe even broccoli. Yum!!! I'm also thinking about heating it up and pairing it with wine and various fancy-pants breads to get some cheese fondue type of action going. :-)

  15. I haven't had vegan queso yet! So if I had some I'd maybe make nachos or add it to a great black bean enchilada recipe I have... That sounds yummy!

  16. It'd be amazing with some vegan nachos: white corn tortilla chips, black beans, sautéed bell peppers, and homemade avocado salsa. Yumm! Or with vegan chili or a vegan chili dog! Either way, I know I'd use it as much as possible. I'm a cheese fanatic! Hopefully I'll get to try it so I'm not just using daiya all the time! Ive also tweeted you. I'm @tanyacolette!

  17. I think I'd just simply pour it over steamed veggies! And with the occasional nacho chip of course :)

  28. This stuff sounds amazing but I've never been able to find it anywhere near me! I would use it make "Ultimate Vegan Nachos" with Red Hot Blues, black beans, soyrizo, and fresh pico!

I entered on Twitter (@randy_wrecked), as well!

  29. You can order it online on various online stores like www.veganessentials.com if you can't find it in your area like me. I haven't tried it yet but I want to.

  30. Nacho Mom did not create her recipe. She had her girlfriend who owns a bottling company steal a recipe from her competitor and then sabotage their batches so she could get her edited version out.
